SPRAVATO® is for use alone or in combination with an oral antidepressant for:

Adults with treatment-resistant depression (MDD patients who have had an inadequate response to 2 or more oral ADs)

SPRAVATO® is for use in combination with an oral antidepressant for:

Depressive symptoms in adults with MDD with acute suicidal ideation or behavior (MDSI)

How SPRAVATO® Works

SPRAVATO® is different because it targets glutamate, the most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain

The primary antidepressant activity of SPRAVATO® is not believed to directly involve inhibition of serotonin or norepinephrine reuptake.

The precise mechanism of action (MOA) is unknown.1,3-6

SPRAVATO® is an NMDA receptor antagonist. An NMDA receptor is an ionotropic glutamate receptor.1

NMDA=N-methyl-D-aspartate.

Spravato® Treatment at Myndful Wellness (REMS certified center)

Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression or major depressive disorder with suicidal thoughts or actions. Unlike traditional antidepressants, Spravato® can work more quickly for some people and is always administered in a clinical setting under supervision.

At Myndful Wellness, we provide Spravato® in private treatment alcoves, designed to help you feel safe and at ease during your session. A licensed psychiatric provider—trained not only in medication management but also in psychotherapy—remains on site and available throughout your visit, offering both clinical oversight and therapeutic support as you process your experience.

We believe Spravato® is most effective when it’s integrated into your overall mental health care—not used as a stand-alone treatment. That’s why we combine it with psychotherapy, medication management, and holistic support to create a comprehensive plan that empowers you on your healing journey.

If you have previously received Spravato® or if you’d like to see if you are a candidate, please schedule consultation. You do not need to have medications prescribed by Myndful Wellness to be considered for treatment. Monthly check ins are required to ensure safety and efficacy. Our office will work with your insurance to see if you are approved prior to starting treatment and also participate in Spravato® withMe as an alternative cost savings program. Clients will be scheduled 1-2x weekly based on provider discretion and insurance approval.
