SPRAVATO® is for use alone or in combination with an oral antidepressant for:

Adults with treatment-resistant depression (MDD patients who have had an inadequate response to 2 or more oral ADs)

How SPRAVATO® Works

SPRAVATO® is different because it targets glutamate, the most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain

The primary antidepressant activity of SPRAVATO® is not believed to directly involve inhibition of serotonin or norepinephrine reuptake.

The precise mechanism of action (MOA) is unknown.1,3-6

SPRAVATO® is an NMDA receptor antagonist. An NMDA receptor is an ionotropic glutamate receptor.1

NMDA=N-methyl-D-aspartate.

Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray used to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression or major depressive disorder with suicidal thoughts or actions. Unlike traditional antidepressants, Spravato® works differently in the brain and may provide relief more quickly for some individuals.

What to Expect at Myndful Wellness

Spravato® treatments are provided in private treatment alcoves designed to help you feel safe and comfortable. A licensed psychiatric provider remains on site throughout your visit to provide monitoring, clinical oversight, and therapeutic support.

Sessions are typically scheduled 1–2 times per week depending on provider recommendation and insurance approval.

A Comprehensive Approach

At Myndful Wellness, Spravato® is not used as a stand-alone treatment. It is integrated into a comprehensive mental health plan, which may include:

  • Psychotherapy

  • Medication management

  • Holistic and supportive treatments

If you have previously received Spravato® or would like to see if you may be a candidate, we invite you to schedule a consultation.

You do not need to have medications prescribed by Myndful Wellness to be considered for treatment.

Our office will:

  • Work with your insurance to determine coverage

  • Assist with the Spravato® withMe cost-savings program

  • Provide monthly check-ins to monitor safety and effectivenes
